Sunday, May 1, 2022: A new month and the Isham Farm is coming alive with Mike and Helen planting more Christmas trees and preparing the farm to spring to life in all its color and beauty. Plans are being made for the Farm Market and the variety of activities inside and out at the Barn. It won't be long before Elaine and I are back in Vermont to enjoy the summer. Hope to see as many as we can.
This weekend while I was organizing my files I ran across notes from Ginger Isham that reported Richard Allen, a former Williston teacher and author of many Williston books, had found an ad for the sale of the Hiram Murray Homestead. The ad in the Burlington Free Press ran for several months in the summer of 1871. If you would like to view the ad for yourself follow this link to the Isham Family website.
Thursday, April 7, 2022: Wow! It has been more than a year since I last updated the Isham website. Even though content has not been added to the site, I continue to be busy behind the scenes gathering more information on our family. With generous donations of photos from Shirley Miles, Ginger Isham, Colleen Miles, and many of you in the family I have begun the massive task of organizing the family photos. There are hundreds of photos beginning with Jairus David Isham through the youngest Isham family member I have on record Elsie Louise Jones born November 8, 2021. Sorting and identifying names, dates, and locations has been lots of fun, but very time-consuming. With today's website update, I have included photos from only two people: George Cronk Isham and Marion Charlotte Isham (Streeter). There are two albums for each of them. The individual Youth Albums have photos which are generally from birth to high school age and the Adult Albums are all the other photos of their lives. Please visit the Isham Family Photo Albums page for a more in-depth explanation of the albums. At any time you notice an inaccuracy in identification or if you have additional photos please send them to me at jisham@madriver.com.
The second big accomplishment this year was having our own domain created for the Williston Isham Ancestors site. www.isham.family
Please continue exploring the site and sending additional stories, information, and photos!
Thursday, March 18, 2021: It is has been a while since I have updated the information on this site. It has been quite a year for all of us. There are a few things added this week. Under the Table of Contents heading, you will see a new page titled Summary of the Williston Isham Generations which includes a short summary of each Isham generation. There are links to each of the generations on the page to allow you to navigate to a particular generation. At the bottom of the page, you will find an explanation of the numbers you find next to every person's name. Hopefully, this will help you understand the method of the numbers.
We are living through a significant event of our lifetime with the Covid-19 Pandemic. For history's sake, it would be valuable to add some stories about how we as the Isham Family have been affected by this past year's Pandemic and maybe what we can do in the coming years to celebrate our survival.
The Birthday Page has been modified. You will notice when you navigate to that page the current month's calendar will appear. Names are listed under their birthdays for the month. If you click on a person's name you will find the year they were born and their Index Number. If you look at the top right of the calendar you will see a tab that says Agenda. If you click on that tab you will see the birthdays in a list.
Additionally, I have tried to simplify the navigation on many of the pages to make it less cumbersome. Let me know if that works better.
Please send any information you would like to add to our history for others to enjoy to me at jisham@madriver.com or send by mail if it is easier. I would like to thank Ginger Isham and Shirley Miles for their stories and photos they have sent to me in the past few months. When you see either one please thank them for their information.
Monday, December 7, 2020: This week I have added some new content under the Generation 11 tab. Each of the 50 Generation 11 cousins have a page with information I have compiled about you and her family. Cousins this is our Generation and there is lots of information missing! Seriously if you don't know what to send me here are a few suggestions to send to me at jisham@madriver.com If you have some photos you would like to share for your page please send them along!
Questions to consider but not limited to only these: What I am looking for about you:

Anything you want others to know about you
